Dental Implants
What are dental implants?
When a tooth is missing, an implant is the ideal treatment. It is the strongest closest version to your natural teeth. Getting an implant is a two-part process; the implant and the crown that is attached to the implant. First, the implant is placed and there is a three to four-month healing period which allows the bone to integrate to the implant. The implant serves as the anchor for the crown that goes on top of it. It is very strong, becoming one with the surrounding bone. Next, after the integration period, an impression is taken, and the crown is fabricated. We are then able to attach the crown to the implant resulting in a beautiful new tooth that is virtually undetectable and feels like your natural teeth. Whether you are missing one, several, or all of your teeth, implants are the best option to restore your smile.
